Description:
This digital to analog converter is designed in 1997 as an add-on for an audio CD player. It utilizes high quality parts and filters to offer an affordable yet high-end soution. The design is based on an Elektor publication and some application notes from Burr-Brown.

When this DAC was designed, it could have been a viable commercial project. Right now however, low cost converters have more quality, equal to or even better than the part used in this design. Worse, an important part used in this design is now obsolete without pin compatible equivalents availabe.

Availablility:
As the design can still be interresting for some enthousiasts and some suppliers probably still have some stock on the obsolete part, this design is put in the public domain. Check out the download sections for the design files (when they come available).
